Prayer Vigil for Fr. Michael O'Connor 11/8 - 11/10, Chapel All are invited to participate in the prayer vigil for our beloved Fr. Michael O'Connor, who has been battling cancer for the last three years. The prayer vigil will start at 9 AM on Friday, November 8, in our Adoration Chapel and ends at 10 PM on Sunday, November 10. Seeking volunteers who would like to serve our neighbors at the 3rd Annual Feast of Grace on November 27, 2024 from 2pm-6pm. Volunteers are needed in different areas and shifts. Please sign up in the area for the shift you are able to serve. Our main goal is to make sure our neighbors feel welcome and get served a warm meal. Station Leads will be contacted at a later date for a general info meeting. It takes a community to put this feast together, please come help and be a part of something bigger and serve the Lord and build up the kingdom of God! Volunteers must be 18 years or older.

The KC's will have a BBQ fundraiser on October 20th after all the Sunday Masses. Place orders online at www.StAlsKC.com. There will be a drive-thru for order pickup at the end of the covered walkway. There will also be onsite sales as long as supplies last. All KC proceeds will benefit the Coats for Kids annual drive. The St. Al's Gals will be selling sides and desserts, and their sales will benefit Discipleship U.

The Knights of Columbus will have a Blood Drive on October 12th from 8am - noon. The We Are Blood Bloodmobile will be in the Parish Hall Parking Lot. In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day is October 4, this year's blessing of animals is at 6:00 PM in the courtyard. Please have all pets on a lease, in a cage or carrier, so that they can be kept safe. All God's creatures, great and small, are welcome! St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us! A committee has been formed to study the growth of St. Albert the Great and to identify the long-term needs for new or expanded infrastructure. Specifically, the committee is reviewing needs in the following areas and developing a Master Plan to address these.

Pathfinders is an exciting new men’s morning ministry that begins on Sept. 11th. All men are welcome to join us for breakfast, prayer, fellowship, and faith sharing. We will have presentations, discussions, prayer, weekly faith challenges, and Catholic fun facts. Start your day right with Jesus, Mary, and your brothers in Christ. Are you suffering from the loss of someone who took their own life? Come and pray for them and for each other at our Mass of Remembrance and Healing for those who died by suicide. Saturday September 21 at 9 am Fr Charlie will say Mass and pronounce the names of all we have lost. Flowers will be distributed in their memory. Discipleship U Fall Semester Registration is now open! We are offering six classes all free of charge. Some favorite classes are back and there are two new classes. Most classes are Thursday evening but we are also offering a Wednesday morning class, a Wednesday evening class, and a virtual class. The semester starts on Sept. 4th and ends on Nov. 21st. FRIENDS OF THE POOR WALK will be held on September 21, 2024. Please sign up after Mass on August 10-11. This is a fun and rewarding way to support Saint Vincent De Paul Society’s mission of providing short-term financial and emotional support to our neighbors in need.

Please consider donating toiletry items on Aug 10-11 after all masses for the Mobile Loaves and Fishes (MLF) truck.   Most needed items:  travel toothbrush kits, antibacterial wipes, deodorant, soap, body wash, shampoo, lotion, razors, hand sanitizer, comb, tampons/ pads, and socks and travel size mouthwash.
