PREPARATION FOR THE SPRING 2026 ADULT CONFIRMATION IS OVER. THERE WILL BE ANOTHER PREPARATION CYCLE IN THE FALL. CHECK BACK HERE FOR THE SCHEDULE IN AUGUST.
Adult Catholics (beyond High School) who have been baptized in the Catholic Church and received First Holy Communion, and are now seeking to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation must be prepared at their parish to receive this sacrament. You should attend Mass at St. Albert the Great to prepare to receive Confirmation at St. Albert the Great.
The Bishop of Austin confirms Catholic adults twice per year, at a special Confirmation Mass on a Saturday morning in the Fall and in the Spring, at a Catholic Church in the Diocese of Austin. Confirmation preparation at St. Albert the Great parish begins 6 to 8 weeks before the date of the Confirmation Mass.
Contact Deacon David Ochoa ([email protected]) by email to register for the next Confirmation preparation, or if you have questions about Adult Confirmation Preparation.
If you have not received First Communion, you must meet with Deacon David to discuss your preparation by contacting him to arrange a meeting time.
Those being confirmed must have a valid Baptism Certificate, with Notations (usually on the back) showing other sacraments received, or provide sacrament certificates for the other sacraments (First Holy Communion and Matrimony if you are married). Contact the Catholic Church where you were baptized to obtain a recent (new) copy of your Baptism Certificate with Notations of other Sacraments received.
Those being confirmed must have a Sponsor. Sponsors must be practicing Catholics in full sacramental communion with the Catholic Church. Sponsors must be present at the Confirmation Mass. Sponsors do not need to attend preparation sessions but must fill out the Confirmation Sponsor Covenant (English).
Please print and fill out the St Albert Adult Confirmation General Information Form and email it to Deacon David Ochoa, and bring a paper copy to the first preparation session. Comuníquese con el diácono Jose Trujillo ([email protected]) por correo electrónico para obtener más información y para registrarse para la próxima preparación para la confirmación de adultos.
