Join the Truth Seekers Faith Sharing Group this Fall as we explore Pope Leo’s encyclical on AI Magnifica Humanitas ("Magnificent Humanity"), On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence, is Pope Leo XIV's first encyclical, addressing human dignity and the ethical challenges posed by artificial intelligence. This encyclical invites us to consider the profound impacts that rapid technological advancement has on human work, social relations, and the common good of all people. Each week we'll discuss a different section. You have two options to prepare:- Read the complete Magnifica Humanitas encyclical. ( one section each week--Introduction, Five chapters, Conclusion)
- Read Bill Huebsch’s Magnificent Humanity Reading Guide for a shorter summary of each section.
Choose whichever works best for you. Come explore, reflect, and share in meaningful conversation as we discover its message and what it means for our lives today.
Initially, we will spend a few weeks defining artificial intelligence and some of its real-life applications as discussed in Antiqua et Nova.
