Venturing Crew 3 is a ministry of St. Albert, a co-ed, high-adventure branch of Scouting America for ages 14-20. Their crew focuses on adventure, leadership, personal growth, and service. They have events scheduled this fall that include hiking, adoration, kayaking, camping, backpacking, and rock climbing. You can find them outside in forest green shirts to get more information.

September is Suicide Awareness Month.  On Saturday September 13 at 9am we will have a special Mass to remember, heal from, and commend to God those who have taken their own life.  Under the patronage of Our Lady of Lourdes, we will implore the intercession of the Mother of God to intercede on our behalf for our loved one who has died.  We will pray for each one by name during the Mass.  If you would like to have your loved one remembered please submit the name by 12 noon on Friday September 12 to Chaplain Debbie at [email protected].

Good news! We now have three priests at many of our confession times. A third confessional has been set up on the left side of the reservation chapel behind the altar. A confessional candle is on a table near the door to indicate when the priest is in the confessional hearing confessions. Sit in the front pew of the section nearest the door to the reservation chapel to wait for confession at this new confessional. A sign identifying the priest and the languages in which he can hear confessions is located on the door of each confessional.

Discipleship U starts on Sept. 10th and 11th. We are offering two classes this Fall: Exodus - a deep dive into the Book of Exodus and Catholic Social Teachings - An Exploration of the Social Teachings of the Church. Exodus offers a Wednesday morning and a Thursday evening class. Catholic Social Teachings will be on Thursday evenings. Learn something new this Fall, grow deeper in your knowledge in Scripture and Tradition, and discover the foundations of your faith at DU! All classes are free! Come and support the Welcome Weekend Retreats on Sunday, September 7 from 9am-4pm at their food sale in the courtyard.  All funds that are raised will be used for the men and women Welcome Weekend retreats throughout the year. We appreciate your support!
