Bishop Daniel E. Garcia invites the entire diocese to the Diocesan Conference on Our Lady of Guadalupe. Participants can choose from three formative sessions. Each session will explore the meaning and evangelizing power of the symbols found in San Juan Diego's Tilma. Additionally, there will be group discussions on how to apply and share God's message through Our Lady of Guadalupe within our communities. The presenter is the worldwide recognized expert, Monsignor Eduardo Chávez. This year we will be guided by the vision of the prophet Ezekiel (47:1–12): a river flowing from the temple of God, which grows without stopping and brings life where everything seems barren. Water heals, restores, and makes creation flourish. But it also challenges us: to recognize ecological damage, to embrace our interconnectedness, and to immerse ourselves in the responsibility of caring for and restoring our Common Home.

The Emiliani Project is a nonprofit organization inspired by the life and witness of Saint Jerome Emiliani, the patron saint of orphaned and abandoned children. Their mission is to rescue, feed, nurture, protect, and educate abandoned children by providing housing, nutritious meals, formal education, counseling, and a loving environment. Their first project is currently underway in Medellin, Colombia, in partnership with the Catholic organization Genie Unida, led by Father Jorge Villalobos of the Archdiocese of Medellin. After nine years of dedicated construction, they proudly opened a children’s home and school in July 2023, where they are actively caring for children in need. Deacon Charles Navarrete, one of the founding members of The Emiliani Project, will be coming to our parish on the weekend of August 22-23.

We are happy to welcome the new members who have recently joined our Pastoral Council! Our new members are Mark Pustka, Jay Finley, Stephanie Mayes, Nina Loehr, Adriana Garcia, and Vera Cruz. All men of the Parish are invited to the Annual Men's Retreat on Saturday, August 22nd. Sign-up after all English Masses on the weekends of August 8th and 15th. The Retreat kicks off with breakfast and registration from 9am - 9:30am. Lunch will be provided. All attendees are invited to attend the Saturday evening Rosary and Mass and optional confession from 3:45pm - 6:15pm. The day will conclude with a social and light snacks for the attendees and their families following the evening Mass. There is no charge for this KC sponsored event. Calling all young adults! Our annual Abide retreat open to any young adult ages 18-35 is coming up on September 12th & 13th! If your ministry hosted a retreat or an event at our Seton Center, you probably noticed our icemaker wasn’t working well for a while… That changed yesterday, thanks to the Knights of Columbus, who bought a brand-new ice maker for our parish! We’re truly grateful for their generosity. Since everything on our campus is shared, please use the new ice maker with care so it will last for many years to come. Si su ministerio organizó un retiro o un evento en nuestro Centro Seton, probablemente se habrá dado cuenta de que nuestra máquina de hielo no funciona bien desde hace un tiempo. ¡Eso cambió ayer, gracias a los Caballeros de Colón, quienes compraron una máquina de hielo nueva para nuestra parroquia! Estamos realmente agradecidos por su generosidad. Dado que todo en nuestro campus es de uso compartido, por favor utilicen la nueva máquina de hielo con cuidado para que dure muchos años más.

The parish office would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Spanish ministries and their members who helped with the campus cleaning last week! It was a week-long effort, and they cleaned every room, including windows, flooring, chairs, tables, blinds, and more! Over 100 volunteers gave their time and talents to make our spiritual home beautiful. Some even came every day until the job was done. We are truly blessed to have service-minded people at our parish. ¡Desde la oficina parroquial queremos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todos los grupos de español y a sus miembros que ayudaron con la limpieza del campus la semana pasada! Fue un esfuerzo que duró toda la semana: ¡limpiaron cada cuarto, incluidas las ventanas, los pisos, las sillas, las mesas, las persianas y mucho más! Más de 100 voluntarios dedicaron su tiempo y talento para que nuestro hogar espiritual luzca hermoso. Algunos incluso vinieron todos los días hasta que terminaron el trabajo. We are saddened by the news of two big earthquakes that hit Venezuela. We are praying for the people of Venezuela, for their safety, and for the country's recovery.
